Services Offered

Mphutungwane offers the following services... Click on the relevant slide to see more detail!

This a consultation lasting up to 1,5 hours where we talk to my elders (idlozi) to look at the issues affecting your life.  This can also be a family consultation if the issue affects the family or a couple.

My consulting fee is R200 for a session.  If there is a particular treatment which you have to follow, subsequent sessions would be included in the total price of that treatment. Once we have achieved whatever outcome we were trying for then we return to the sessional fee.

This is a service to those with particular ailments (izifo) which require monitoring and also multiple treatments.  We use only African Natural Remedies.  I plan to open a Hospital in time where people can stay for a few days for a minimal cost in the future.

Fees here include ukuhlola to see how we are progressing.  The fees are set on an ailment by ailment basis for e.g. if we have to help you with isinyama/isichito the fee is R250 for all medications as well as ukuhlola after the start of treatment to see how we are fairing.

I am available to facilitate workshops particularly on Cultural Diversity Management and Culture and its influence on the Workplace.

The fee here is dependant on the duration of te workshop as well as the number of people that will be presented to per session.

I am available as a consultant to families on the requirements of traditional weddings. This service is particularly useful when both families need advice on the lobola requirements as well as the other ceremonial requirements for weddings.   If required I can also assist with the sourcing of various items.

Why would someone need a Sangoma for Traditional Weddings?

  1. You would need a Sangoma if there are no elders at home to determine what the appropriate negotiation entails and who should be part of negotiating teams.
  2. You would need a Sangoma to verify that the list of family members to recieve gifts (umembeso nomabo) are in fact complete and no one has been left out.
  3. To discuss the types of items to be requested as gifts.
  4. The sequence of events to be followed from the initiation of the marriage to final conclusion.
  5. The process to be followed in order to welcome the bride to the family.

This is for those who are not sure whether they have a calling or not and also for those with an interest in African Spirituality and debunking some myths.  I will hold a series of workshops where we will explore what this “African Spirituality” means.

This is a service for those who need career guidance and additional counselling.

I have available for sale various natural remedies which I prepare and bottle under the “Amabhodlela Emvelo” label.  These are available to all with a particular need.  (The details to follow.)  I also have Amabhayi and other requirements that are used in African Healing.
