Thokoza Dlozi! i love the new look of the home page. i am also concerned about the gay/ lesbian issue among us zangomas. i really cannot relate with it as according to my belief: you may be a woman but the owner of your being a sangoma is a man but that does not change you to become a man. i strongly agree with the fact that ubunyanga buyazilelwa not that we should engage in same sex relationship unless otherwise you were born to with genetic disorders or something else. not that i despise gays/ lesbians, we have a calling here and we deal with lots of people who dont understand and stigmatising ubunyanga. how do we then explain to a person who have to undergo the process of initiation that she/ he will go home still being straight after initiation. can someone please explain this to me. i am eager to know.

Thokoza Gogo,

Im grateful that there someone who is sharing information with us as young people. I have just finished my initiation process, strated in October 2009 until May 2010. I have a question: Why is there so much lesbianism/ gay attached to ubunyanga. Can you please assist with information based on that. I'm going through a certain stage in my life.

Siyabonga. Ukhule Makhosi!

Siyathokoza GOGO

Siyabonga for a beautiful; insightful website. Its amazing Amanda to read about your process; I intuitively feel you’re the same person that my neighbour was telling me her story
She came out of initiation in May; your story is similar to the one she told me. I am journeying into healing and I feel proud to find writings on this. However, there is little out there about this work hence a lot of people misinterpret traditional healing. If we don’t write about this work; our children will never know and they will loose their sanity.

You write very well and I fully can relate. I will be going very soon; I am very nervous about all this. I have been trying to make intellectual sense of everything and sometimes what is need is surrender not comprehension. Its easy said that done; for example one day I am eating a certain food and next day I get sick when I eat it….

I would love to attend one of your talks or trainings; please give me posted!

Thank you again; please have a face book page as well this will help to connect frequently.

Makhosi amakhulu.I am greatful that i met Makhosi. She has put a lot issues into perspective. Her teachings will continue to make a huge of difference in our lives.However.we should do a part by increasing awareness in our communities. I am proud to say i perform my rituals with pride and confidence without fear of being victimized.

All the best to those that are in pursuit of this holy gift.

Ukufunda kwami lewebsite, ngibe nokuziqhenya...ngiyathokoza ukubona kusenabantu who still appreciate amasiko ethu, lasivela khona, ubuthina, ubuntu. It is sad to see our young people turning away from our ways, from what we were brought up with...sinje nje izimfundiso zabadala...singazikhohlwa...singabantu, sinamasiko asiwahloniphe!

Ubizo is a blessing! you are blessed!
