In August I completed my Reiki I course. I have always had the ability to heal with my hands but its just one gift that has not been as fully developed and utilised. This is my attempt at getting the gift up to full strength so I can fully use it.

From September to November 2008 I will be involved as a volunteer with students at a university in Jo’burg that aims to offer an almost free tertiary education to kids from the rural areas who would otherwise not have the opportunity to obtain higher education. The aims of the facilitated workshops that I’ll be hosting are to assist the students deal with the cultural adjustment issues from being in their individual homes to being in the big city of Jo’burg. It is an attempt to make the transition easier so that there are just the studies to deal with. Also cultural integration is tricky because just like we have 11 official languages, we are even more diverse in our cultural beliefs having the full spectrum from saved Christian’s right through to those who are totally traditional in their beliefs.

In November I hope to start weekly group meditation in preparation for the New Year. Details will be announced as soon as I have secured a venue. Cost will be minimal at R20 per person per session.
